It feels like winter has arrived. Poor Kita is struggling in the cold, but still manages to keep me going up and down the stairs to help him avoid accidents on the floor.
I”m definitely feeling the cold more as I get older. But at least we’ve got some weather to define the days.
Work has been unrelentingly busy. There are so many things to be done that it’s difficult to stop and take stock. And it’s so many unrelated tasks too.
Alex returned to school for a day on Tuesday. I missed him, but he came back missing his friends more. It is difficult for most people, especially kids, to put the threat of the virus in context with their immediate desires.
I have so little trust in others to do the right thing as restrictions are eased, will continue to be cautious as others aren’t. But external expectations can impact on our freedom to make our own decisions on what is safe and what is not. Things like education department policy changes, our employers, families and friends.
Take it slowly. Be safe.
