Clear Sky, 18°C
As the clock counts down to midnight and 2019 a gentle rain is falling. The other two are snoring softly beside me, Kita is grooming his paws, despite being a dog.
We spent the day cleaning the house and shifting furniture in Alex’s bedroom. It feels like we should have done more of significance, or less of anything.
I don’t know quite how to feel about the year that passed. It felt compressed, as if everything was packed into too short a time frame, yet it’s beginning also seems so very long ago.
But now I want to savour these last moments, to enjoy murmuring rain while still celebrating the light show in the skies. I’m not quite ready to let 2018 go.
